Accoya Georgian Sliding Sash Windows
Public House, North West England
About this Project
We studied the clients drawings and planned out the manufacturing processes, firstly a set out rod is produced for each type of window followed by a cutting and component list, we then pick the raw Accoya to be used and machine in our machine shop. All the components are marked out individually, all the mortice and tenoning is done then glued and assembled.
The windows are laid to rest overnight and then fully sanded the next day and passed up to our spray finishing department where they receive two coats of Teknos primer and two coats of Teknos top coat in Cool White. These are then brought back to the bench area to be glazed and wrapped.
All nine windows were delivered to site ready to install with just fixing plates and foam to be used by the installers saving time on site.
Timber windows are a more ecological option for any glazing requirements, Accoya has a 75 year service life and coated with Teknos coating maintains a 14 year colour guarantee as long as a suitable maintenance plan is in place.
The client is very happy with the end product and so are we.
